The fifth
annual Lake Louise ride is scheduled for March 27, 28 and 29, 2009.
As in years past
the ride package will include lodging Friday and Saturday night, dinner
Friday and Saturday, breakfast Saturday and Sunday.
The Point Lodge
is a full service facility with Bar, Kitchen and 12 rooms. All room have
adjoining 1/2 bathrooms. Shower facilities are on each floor of the
lodge. Room reservations will be double occupancy. Please have a room
partner if you are single.
The road has
been paved all the way to the lake; therefore I plan on going directly to
the Point Lodge on Friday evening. Riding the 45 miles from Eureka will
be at the discretion of the individual riders. This trail is well marked
and generally groomed prior to this weekend. A few people have mention
that they may meet at the Point on Friday and ride to Eureka and back. I
will pass on any information on this as it develops.
Saturday will
again feature optional rides depending on those attending and their
desires. There are hundreds of miles of groomed trails (the Wolf Pack
groomed all night for us last year) that are well marked and maps are
available for those that want to venture out. The Poker run featured by
the Wolf Pack Snow machine club will be available for any that wish. The
route is set a few days prior but goes to all the locale lodges and
several of the area lakes. The run is about 60 miles and entry fee
includes dinner if you want. I suggest you pass and eat some of
Victoria’s home made dinners.
Sunday after
breakfast riding is always good for those that don’t have to rush back to
town.
As always check the ASC hot line 566-0272
for latest updates before
departing for the ride.
